libedata-book1.2-dev software package provides Backend library for evolution address books (development files), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libedata-book1.2-dev
libedata-book1.2-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libedata-book1.2-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libedata-book1.2-dev *
You will get with libedata-book1.2-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
